From what I've heard Sony does have good bass, but its average. Bose has above average bass and Beats bass no one can touch. I have Beats (the earbuds) and they are well worth the $100.

The Sony EX series of earphones offer neither deep or plentiful bass. You will not find this characteristic, starting from their cheapest offering and all the way to their top of the line earphones.
Don't expect too much from the EX10s. They look fragile, like my EX32s. They will most likely become useless after cord connectivity issues, and are too cheap to warrant a repair. Another issue which has to do with the quality control of the lower-end Sony earphones is one or both of the drivers shorting out. Sound should be so-so.
I suggest that you look into the JVC HA-FX40s. Mind you, they are still quite fragile, but IME most earphones can't really take a beating anyways.
