CPU-Intel Core i7-2600 3.4 GHz
Memory-CORSAIR Vengeance 16GB
Storage-Kingston SH103S3/120G HyperX 120GB Solid State Drive and Western Digital Caviar Black 1 TB SATA III 7200 RPM 64 MB
Graphics Card-EVGA GeForce GTX 580 1536 MB
Operating System- Windows 7 or 8
Mouse-Razer Mamba
Keyboard-Logitech G19

This is all i have right now and before i order this i just wanted help because this is my first computer i am going to build because i herd it is better than buying computers.

I5 3570K instead of the locked i7
Death adder instead of mamba
8GB ram is enough
Seasonic si2ii 520W psu instead of unnecessary 1K watts
Go with a 670 instead of a 580 to save the money and get a newer card. Or if you are just gaming get a 7970 and call it a day.

This is a bit of a mess. What's your budget for the whole build? I'll include the keyboard and mouse, but do you need a monitor and operating system included in the budget as well?

Here's my best for $1,500: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

If you need 16GB of RAM (You probably don't, more RAM is only beneficial if it is being used), you can just buy two of the kit I linked. If you want to spend less, just say the word!

Why not the 840 Pro r00t?

Is it because of the sale on the vector.

Also, the sx900 is on sale for 90 with 10 MIR. Logan seems to love that thing.

Because I thought about what the $10 extra you'd pay for the 840 would be going toward and came up with nothing. The drives are pretty much equal. The SX900 is a good budget drive, but it's worth spending more for a longer warranty and better drive. It's nothing special, just Sandforce with synchronous RAM.

Great build. I just have one component to add, from personal experience. Ironically I have a Fractal Design R4, a 3570k, and a 7970. The Fractal is "silent", meaning it has padding around almost all the case. This is good, unless your components get hot... in which case the padding just keeps heat inside the case. This will cause your GPU to heat up near dangerous. Highest I saw mine was near 80 at full load. While that's not "dangerous", it is a bit too hot for me.

So I suggest buying some extra fans! I recently bought [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] . I got two of them and installed them on the top of the case. They are cheap and match the case (I don't know a huge amount about case fans :/ ). Also, they come with a 3pin-to-4pin adapter. After installing them my temps haven't gone past 65! If you plan on overclocking, this is a must.

The Fractal R4 is truly an amazing case. I am so happy with mine

EDIT: If you want a fan with an LED, there are plenty of those too. And there are plenty of colors to choose from.

I doubt the sound dampening works like insulation. I can't imagine much heat being dissipated via the side panels and the case is extra wide. The case does make some performance sacrifices for the sake of silence, but they don't seem to be that pronounced.
