Hey TTG,
So today, my local National Guard Recruiter showed up at my school today in PE and we did a whole bunch of activities, instead of our normal painful fitness day (; , involving teambuilding skills. Well, I thought about it and the opportunities and benefits are so good, I really want to pursue the chance. Now my career I want to pursue is in Computer Science, not quite sure what in that area, but I definitely want to be in it (:

So, My question for you is:

Should I continue into the National Guard?

I really would like to be in some military branch, but I don't know where I would fit best.

Any input would be appreciated. (:

You could always join the National Guard and have them pay for your computer science classes. Then you get both for one.

Well, if you do, don't make it your FIRST job. I'd hate to lose a young man at that age.

Just remember, veterans get almost no benefits. More cuts are coming after the sequester this week.

I just got done interviewing my step father for the national archives, he was in the Navy, and said it was the greatest decision of his life, just have to work hard and want to work hard. I'm sure the National Guard is the same way.

$400,000 life insurance?
Able to retire at 60 with 20 years of service and get over $1500 a month?
Paid to go to college.
Also, I don't plan on just doing that. I plan on doing however many years, possibly 20 years, and then really pursuing my Computer Science career.
