when buying a ssd you would probably be better with a more trusted brand such as intel

This SSD is really good:

Plextor M5 - 10 pound over but worth it.

Benchmarks:https://www.google.com/search?q=plextor+m5+pro+vs+samsung+840+pro&hl=en&client=safari&tbo=d&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=G2IWUfr3N6mB0QGQvoG4Dg&ved=0CAgQ_AUoAQ&biw=320&bih=504#i=7

Samsung Pro beats it but that is 20 pounds over your budget.

Rams fine

Intel advertisement. The 330 still doesn't perform as well as its competitors (although how much this matters is questionable) and it has a 3-year warranty. It's not like Intel is the only one that makes it's own NAND, either.

OP, the 840 is cheaper [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] but get the [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] if you want a drive around that price. Consider spending a bit more on a drive with higher speeds and quality with a 5-year warranty as opposed to a 3-year warranty like the [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] or [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] .

And I recommend [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] because selection in the UK sucks.
