Yeah it's ridiculous, especially considering a freaking blu-ray player will stream netflix for free lol.

The funny thing is...
Wii's Netflix app is free
PS3's Netflix app is free
You can go to Netflix on your PC for free
Roku/Apple TV/others are free
Every single way of accessing Netflix (with the exception of the Xbox 360 app) does not require you to have to pay an extra $60 per year subscription fee.
Not only this, but EVERY APP on the 360, including Internet Explorer, requires a Gold membership. It's ridiculous. You don't "get what you pay for", it's just Microsoft trying to get people to pay a subscription fee that they may not even need.
It costs them money when you are on it, plus you guys act like all you are paying for is Netflix there is a lot more you get. Also with Xbox you are paying for a better online experience then those other consoles so I agree if you don't like it get a different console.

No it doesn't. Explain to me how Xbox is the only one that requires you to pay a subscription fee to use these apps? Every single other form of accessing Netflix is free. Even YOUTUBE needs a Gold membership. It's ridiculous. Thankfully, I play online games, and I realize that Xbox Live has a better online experience when it comes to gaming. However, the quality of the apps are the exact same or even worse than the apps on other platforms, especially on your PC. If someone doesn't play their Xbox anymore, and just uses it for apps, it's stupid to have them pay an extra 60 bucks a year because of it.

UnknownModder wroteAppsndJuegos wrote You get what you pay for; don't like it, go to PS3No thanks. I am on to PC gaming which I view as the superior gaming system. But I have an Xbox in my room that i like to watch before I fall asleep.
Well then stop complaining.

Not everyone sees an issue with this, you're getting it in a package.
Anyway, if the issue is paying for Live just for netflix. If you have an HDTV, simple solution.
Buy a 5$ VGA cable, use it to watch netflix from your computer on your TV.
No VGA connection? Use an adapter to put it to HDMI or Component.
One time 20$ fee (with adapters).

I buy gold anyway, so it doesn't bother me. But I get where you're coming from.

What if you are using your computer for something else? Also, what if you have a desktop, and it's not located where your Xbox is? Are you supposed to run a cable around a house just to get Netflix? Microsoft shouldn't make you have to pay for these services.

Why would Netflix even make you pay?
I mean you could just go to some online streamer and get it for free, same quality. Updated content.
