Disagree with many of the replies. Nice build, of course there is work that could be done. But I like it, Could do with upgrading PSU though.

Cheers mate, it is a work in progress of course, im still undecided on the cheap PSU arguement - its over exagerated on here so bad by root generation and their fan boys. If you read pc websites/magazines its a whole different arguement. But a new PSU is definatley on the cards. Thanks for reply mate.

It's easy to discount what we say on here because it's not a hardware-specific site, but not even once will you see anyone who knows their stuff saying it's OK to run garbage PSUs with enthusiast hardware like yours. It's just common knowledge and yes, people exaggerate here, but the ones who do are those that latch on to what the knowledgeable members say and re-hash it thinking they're being helpful. No, your power supply is not likely to catch fire or explode, but it is likely to damage your components with ripple, be loud, die, and possibly kill your other components upon failure. It happens all the time. Find me one instance of a knowledgeable person (not every knowledgeable person knows a lot about PSUs, mind you) recommending a generic PSU for high-end hardware like yours. You cannot, will not. You made a mistake and you need to own up to it by replacing your power supply as soon as you can.

Here, forty bucks for a fantastic unit with plenty of wattage: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
