This is an original thread, but there are different methods. If you would like to use a different method, then I suggest you visit this thread.

"The Official Lucid Dreaming Thread"

Caution: The Thread gives a different method from mine, and if done wrong will trigger sleep paralysis. It is easy to mess this up so please be cautious if you attempt this method.

How to Lucid Dream

1. Keeping a Dream Journal
If you are snickering and saying ,"Lulz Diaries r 4 grlz"then you are mistaken. This dream journal/diary helps you in many ways. First of all, it helps you capture the dream, and traps it in your brain. Usually, after a dream you will usually forget up to 80% of it. This is why keeping a dream journal by your bed is the perfect solution to capturing that dream.

2. Questioning you Subconscious
This is fairly simple, even though it may sound hard. All you have to do is about 5-10 times a day(the more the better), question, in your head, if the life you are living at that moment is just a dream. Keep doing this every day.

3. Meditation
Meditation is the practice of clearing your mind and relaxing yourself. Most people will do this sitting down with their legs crossed, in a dimly lit room, with complete silence. Do this for 20 minutes a day.

Disclaimer and Warning

If this does not work, then do not blame me. Not all peoples bodies and minds are the same. For those who succeed, realize that there is a single side-effect known and this is sleep paralysis. This does not always occur(for my method it is rare), but if it does then you need to know what it is. This is where your body is asleep still, but your mind is functional and you are awake. This also causes hallucinations, all of which are usually scary. If you enter sleep paralysis, stay completely calm. The best thing to do is to fall back to sleep. Finally, if for some odd or out of the ordinary reason you injury yourself, or another, I am not responsible.
