I bought a second hand Acer Aspire 7736Z laptop a few months back. A few days ago, it started acting up on me, and randomly shut off. I got it to turn back on, but the charging light flickered a bit, and shut back off about 15 mins later. It will no longer boot up, and no lights will come on at all. I've tried using a different charger. I know the battery has been going out, but I wouldn't think that would be an issue. Whenever the charger is plugged in, I can hear a faint relay-clicking noise coming from somewhere around the CPU. It stops, and clicks once every 20 seconds or so when I hold the power button down. Would a new battery fix this, or is something bigger the problem?
