I recently bought a laptop off ebay...it has 2gb ram and a 2.2ghz worth of cpu speed. it also came with power cord and a good battery and a 80gb hard drive. one problem: there is no os on there. i dont have anymore money and i need to use this. BUT luckily i have an old computer hard drive from a broken computer NOT LAPTOP that has a reader u can plug in via usb. it has windows 7 ultimate loaded on there. my question is can i plug it it and will it boot to windows or will i need to buy a new os? i wont be able to find out because the laptop wont get here until after christmas. first person to help will get a nice load of rep! thanks guys!

pretty easy to get windows 7 for free and it works with updates.
cant really say how to do that here, 80gb is pretty low for a HDD these days you could get a 320gb for about $50 or so
