Are technology is god, just not good enough, we cant prevent everything that comes at us, and the only way thn could end the world or wipe out human race, is when the sun explodes, or dies out. Otherwise, im not worried. You never know but there may be a different species, or race out there in the universe.

i they are referring that this is the beginning. so more hurricanes, earthquakes and all that jazz. but you said that the human race may not be able to be wiped out or something like that right? well if we survive the next 100-300 years i believe humans as a race may be come immortal. i think they only thing able at this point to wipe us out would be ourselves from nuclear war.

Technology can't stop natural disasters including Yellowstone.

We can be alerted by technology and have estimate of eruption.

And it won't be millions of years before the end of the world,it will be billions of years.

I'll give you that everything inside the universe is technically infinite, because it can only be changed from one form to another.
That doesn't stop the Earth from transforming into a ball of smouldering rock.

Can I ask where you got the '100,000,000 years' from? Also, if our technology is going to be able to stop it then it should definitely be able to after the 100,000,000 years.

well in a scientific point this is wrong because the sun will enter a supernova in about 4.5 billion years and the earth will be eaten up by the sun therefore ending earth.....

people beleive it is because in the movie 2012, new york floods in october, and as we know, new york has flooded in october
