I just mined one block down and all the sudden this appeared.
The bug is like a white, grey, with black eyes with a rattle on the back. Has a squirm motion and attacks you.

It's a Silverfish, they were introduced in the previous update.

its a silverfish a little creature that attacks u when u mine away blocks:)
