Out of the two, I prefer this version; the text is much more distinguished, easier to read.
I like the grunge effect you applied to the boxes on the left & right sides.

The "contact me" text is much more difficult to read, as well as the text in the YouTube background's header compared to the "ValidPArtnereed.jpg", once again, like the grunge effect that's suggested in this piece.
