If you make stone brick stairs and than break them down they either turn into regular stone bricks mossy stone bricks(my favorite) or cracked stone bricks. i found this out the other day and figured id post it for ppl that didn't know.

this is the only way ive found to make these theres no option in the craftbox or anything so yes i believe this is the only way as of right now
