I also favor 4-3-3, its all about your play style. Play career mode and figure out what you like before you go buying all new formation cards and then you dont like it.

Along with the other 2 guys i agree 4-3-3 is probably the second best and 4-1-2-1-2 is probably the best but any formation card can go for 10k and 4-3-3 is about 5k each

I use 4-2-3-1, the CDM i use have high defensive traits, as well with good shots. And very fast Outside backs and CAM. Not many use this, so the cards are a little cheaper.
But it is about what suits you, play around with the formations a bit on career mode or kick off.

I use 4-1-2-1-2
Its probably the best formation, but the players are more expensive compared to other formations.
The cheapest formations are probably
3-5-2 and 5-3-2

Yeah I decided to make a decent 4-3-3 team with 2 CDM and a CM, I played 2 games and won both so all is good right now Thanks for all the replies
