My ihas124b keeps turning itself off everytime i plug a verbatim disc in, i got the burner today and plugged it all in but im not sure if i need to flash it?

the ebay title was this

[XGD3]Xbox 360 LiteOn iHas524 B DVD-Writer Burner Max, Lite-On, iHas124 B

So does this mean i need to flash it? is that why its turning itself off because it dosent recognise the disc?

Any help would be appreciated!

only thing i can think of is that the drive might be crossflashed wrong.

I think my power source is not strong enough, it would explain the fact of when the motor starts spinning thats when the power is at its peak which would explain it immediately turn off because it cant handle the power

by this post im thinking that you were questions what i meant. Reading the title of the ebay post it seems like he was selling an ihas524b which was crossflashed with ihas124b max burner firmware. Upon thinking about your problem, he might have crossflashed the software wrong, which could be causing this problem. If i was you i would download this guide off ixtreme and follow the flashing guide for it. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] this is a pdf tutorial
