Hey guys, I just wanted to ask if anyone knew how to do this.
Well, basically I want to update to iOS 6. I know there isn't a jailbreak yet for it, but I want it for the new maps because I use the GPS often. Is there a way to update so that when a jailbreak does come out for iOS 6, I can have my phone be almost the exact same way it was before? Like to backup my packages and what not. And also, I have a few apps that I haven't gotten legitimately yet, when I update and the apps disappear, will the info on them stay there? Like I have docstogo, and I'd like to keep a backup of the documents on there, and basically everything on my phone including things for illegitimate apps. Thanks.
Oh and if it helps I'm on an iPhone 4S running 5.0.1. I just want to update my phone, then have it the same way it is now when the jailbreak comes out for iOS 6. Plus rep for anyone who can help me

You will lose some stuff such as siri and the boot logos and all of the such like that but i honestly dont think you will lose much more than that. just make sure you sinc it to your itunes and update it to make sure that it is most deff. on your phone. like j said i honestly dont know for a fact but iOS 6 is nice. added allot of new features and in my opinion it is very worth it.

When updating you will lose everything from cydia. So all the tweaks and customization will be gone. Cydia itself will be gone. The only things that will be there are the cracked games but they will not work so they are useless
