Hello everyone. Recently my macbook pro died to a point where I can't fix it anymore. So I dug up an old G5 Powermac and was pleasantly suprised to see that it worked quite well! Unfortunately, Mac OSX did not. I was stuck at 256 colors and a 640 X 480 resolution. All of those circumstances forced me to install Ubuntu 12.04 for PPC. I have to say, I do quite like it. The video card is outputting correctly to this OS so thats a plus. However, all sound has stopped in the computer. When I go to sound settings, it recognizes the card as a "Dummy Output" which obviously does me no good. Does anyone know a way to fix this? Thanks.
