No bumping.
Also just get a new one Xbox is not like a car or something you can not keep fixing it when you can just buy a new one and use parts or sell it I hate fixing them.

I had the same problem and after swapping out multiple, working drives that were of the same model as the one that I originally had in my console, absolutely none of them worked.

I had to buy a new Xbox, sorry but unless you get a drive that works...you're s*** out of luck.

You shouldn't of have changed the laser in side of the disc drive you should of changed the disc drive that is only held in by I think one wire! Or have you done that?

im not quite sure what you mean?

The drive is the same one (Theoretically by unscrewing the motherboard and unsoldering the motor connector and replacing them onto another drive you can replace the whole thing but in practice it never works) it still has the same motor and same motherboard but what i did was i pulled up one of the little rails that holds the entire laser in and slid the entire thing off and replaced it (Works for worn out lasers and normal open tray issues) however this time replacing it didnt do squat im stumped because it sounds healthy at first then makes 2 clicking noise after spinning up THEN goes to open tray rather then normal open tray were it either dosnt spin up at all our spins for a second or 2 then stops
