Ok well i just bought a xbox for 30 pound. I tried before i bought it and it worked fine with the harddrive i got with it but when i put mine on its super laggy
Any help i try signing in and sometimes when screen just turns black and it takes ages to get a task done

You should try reselling that one and get a brand new one or just transfer all your content to the non laggy harddrive or it could just be your connection

done that to my xbox its super laggy because your hard drive is corrupt and needs to be reset. Just reset hard drive by clearing your system cathe on your xbox then it will be fine

yes put your stuff like saved games on a usb then re-download e.g cod maps from your download history then your sorted

Noo your wrong,a system cache reset only deletes title updates like MW2 title update and Minecraft Ect. a full reset deletes all your stuff which isnt what you need to do Just go to Memory,highlight harddrive and press Y,then go to system cache reset,it will then not be laggy as xBlaaair said

Also could it have something to do with me having the Internet explorer dashboard on my other console on the profile im using. Could that be it ?

Clearing System Cache will not delete your games. -.-
It deletes title updates for all games, as the other guy said. Also, I doubt internet explorer has anything to do with it, as I have it and have not experienced any problems. (other than that d**n keyboard)
