Considering you have a pretty outdated video card, I think it's safe to say that your CPU and PSU quality/wattage is along those lines as well. Assuming you have a case that can physically fit a high end video card, have a quality PSU with at least 2 x 6+2 pins, and no major bottlenecks, something like a $320 7950 would be amazing - the next step above that would be a 670. An other option would be to grab a 7850 which is a much cheaper card and does not use a lot of power, but it'll 'only' be able to play it on high settings ( even though there is not a huge difference in quality ) with respectable FPS. Either way, I need more detailed specifications to make an accurate suggestion.

Alright , ive herd people say that having Intel processor with amd graphics card weren't compatible. So this isn't going to be an easy upgrade then is it?

Whoever you heard that from is delusional. There are no compatibility issues between the two. If it's going to be an easy upgrade or not will totally depend on all of your current PC specifications.

well is seams that your pc is kind of outdated, i would suggest building a new one or updating the parts in ur current one (if it is compatable)i would sugest an AMD 8core processor or if you want intel, an i7 extream edition, with an invidea geforce card with at least 2GB of GPU ram. and have 12-16GB of normal ram. but thats just me....

you can look for parts at= newegg.com or tigerdirect.com

An 8 core AMD? From my knowledge I heard they suck, and even if the new generation is better 8 cores is useless and really just overpriced unless you want him to build a server? Go with an i5 for gaming or an i7 if you REALLY think you need the extra power for video editing and the likes. For a graphics card I would reccomend a GTX 670 it's a beast and it can be overclocked to around the same specs as a 680 for $100 less. 12-16gb of ram? Again wtf? Gaming=4 you WON'T use more for gaming. Video editing and the likes = 8 (Just get faster speed) 12 ram is only if it's on sale

I just built my pc for under $1400 and I can max bf3 and keep around 40-60 fps all the time easy before I overclock.
