If I transfer data from an old hard drive to new hard drive, What will happen to the installed data? If I clone the data will the installed data be there and still work? or will I have to reinstall the installed data.

i don't exactly get your question, but i suppose you have to make sure the new hard drive is the same format as the old one (Fat32 or NTFS). otherwise it will reformat and delete all the data from the old hard drive. the installed data (if you mean programs etc) will all be there as long as it is not formatted, and the root of the program (install home) is in the hard drive itself (not program files that are located on your computer).. i would not recommend cloning the data, i would just copy it/ transfer it.. saves a lot of hassle and worries

Hope i helped..
