You're on the right track.

You could spend $10 more and get a 6870.

If you have extra cash laying around, adding a Hyper 212 and/or 64GB SSD would be a nice addition, though it's not needed right off the bat.

Your build is very good for the price.

I found a better power supply for your build that is actually cheaper and more reliable than the current one you selected. : [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

On a side note, is 500 GB enough space for you? Realize that if you start installing a lot of games they WILL take up a lot of memory. Recently installed Max Payne 3 and it was 30 GB and also installed The Witcher 2 and that was 25 GB. Newer games nowadays take up a lot of memory so if ou plan on having quite a bit I recommend a 1 TB drive to be on the safe side.

No problem and congrats on your build. Also, don't rush your build. Try saving up a little more money for better hardware. It's all up to you but it ends up saving you money in the long run when purchasing new and more advanced hardware.

The PSU on its own is actually still cheaper, never mind in a combo deal ( shave off $30 ). This particular Rosewill unit is actually not too bad ( people at Eggxpert even recommend it ) and switching it over to a Corsair would only drive the price up.

The PSU is 79.99 with the instant discount and 69.99 after mail in rebate. Although the units are pretty much equal in performance the Corsair one has a 5 year warranty which could come in handy in case of problems compared to the Rosewill which only has 3 years. Either way it doesn't really matter because he won't be excessively pushing the PSU to it's limits.
