So one of the jtags that I don't use so often, usually just for testing, was on 9199 dash and I decided to update it to 14179 (newest dash) It worked fine for about 20 minutes, then after that it would start freezing 5 seconds after the dash loads. Now it has rrod (0110) I was wondering if this was because of a bad update? Any help would be nice!

If it was a bad update it most likely wouldn't boot and sometimes wont show red lights. Most likely caused by overheating.

Here's what you should try,
1) Reflow the RAM
2) Loosen your heatsink screws and make sure the heatsink isnt shorting out a capacitor...
3) Look for missing and bridged components like resisitors and caps and replace them4) X-Clamp replacement

I doubt it's because of the Update. If it is, maybe you could un-istall the update and then you can find out the real problem if it keeps happening.

I was going to see if it was going to be a bad flash, but the box won't even boot into xell, not even the usb in the back. Any other advice then reflowing? like any before that?

Well you could do the towel trick and then install a fan mod or turn up the fan speed, but that most likely will cause damage to your console.

That's if you really do want to get it reflown.
