I need help because i dont use it anymore other than for the music so please help

Press restore.
But make sure you back it up first. Or you can delete everything on it and then put the songs on separately.

update the iPod by going into iTunes and updating if it allows you to update and if not go into iTunes and press restore,but make a backup first
