Try re-seating your video card

Well obviously you can narrow things down a bit.

There are a few things that could be going wrong.
1. The connection from your motherboard to GPU is shot.
2. The connection from your GPU to monitor is shot.
3. Somethings broke (duh )

Try plugging in your GPU again and see if it works. Make sure your motherboard is functioning correctly!! Also, if your monitor has VGA input, try using that instead of HDMI. I have found VGA to be more reliable.

Hope this helps. Also, try being a bit more descriptive with your problem next time. It helps to know exactly what the problem is.

To add on to that use VGA or DVI first, since it is a new build you probably have to install the video card drivers to enable HDMI.

Did you try seating it in another PCI-E slot.
Also don't use HDMI when you first turn it on.
Switch to another connector. (S-Video, DVI, VGA)

I have tried one stick of ram and still nothing happens. hopefully i can get one of my friends cpu and try that on my mobo. If that does not work then it must be the mobo

I had the same problem as you except my CPU didn't support integrated graphics, so I was stuck at "maybe it's the video card."
My motherboard was still under warranty, I RMAed it and when I got it back I noticed that the socket has been replaced. What I gathered from that is that one of my pins were bent.
Moral of the story: It might be your motherboard.
