So just 30 minutes ago my friends reported of my mic having a "ringing" noise in the background. I tested it and low and behold there's a big ass ringing noise in the background. It's only whenever I talk though. I'm thinking it's the cable from the headset to controller. My controller is wired btw. Has anyone else had this problem too? A quick answer would be appreciated and will help make the decision whether or not I buy a new headset, or controller.

Sorry, just realized I posted this in GD instead of Xbox GD. I'm sorry.

Do you have a play and charge kit plugged in?

Sometimes the charger can make noices to be played through your mic.

You probably have your controller plugged in through a plug 'n play charger kit. That happens to me, no known way to fix it, that's why I try my best to charge my controller when I am not going to play.
Hope I helped.
