You can't change out a laptops' internal video card, but you can run external ones. Check out the ViDock2, I believe it's $130.

Then you have to buy a graphics card which is worthy of spending $130 just to run it, which will cost your another $120-$150.

Your should be able to run CSS, as it's so well optimized for PC. Try turning down the resolution of the game, as this can be a big killer of the frames. Also TF2 isn't that hard run, again, just turn the resolution down a bit and it should run a lot smoother.

At the end of the day it's not worth messing around if you want to game on a laptop, and you should just look to invest in a gaming PC.

Here's a video showing someone play TF2 on a Intel HD 3000 integrated card:

Granted, his CPU is better, although only just by a little bit. You should be able to play those games fine on medium-low settings.

Go on [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] and search the game you want to play, and just compare your specs to the minimum and recommended. If you match them, then you should be able to play the game.

You can add a desktop graphics card to a laptop if it has an Expresscard slot using this:

PE4H with EC2C. It's not too much of a bottleneck and you'll need and external PSU (jumped to run with out a mobo). The PSU wattage can be very low, check what the demands of the card are and shoot for twice that number in a PSU for maximum efficiency.

It all should be quite cheap.

Here's a video of it working. Not the best quality, but it gets the point across.
