As I suspected, this isn't photoshop.

It's a PATCHER. You still need to have photoshop to use this.

You can get in trouble for doing this, but it is very unlikely. But you can't go around bragging about stuff like that. Currently how the law works is that there are many steps that for a company to sue an individual.

First thing you must know, if you live in the United States, our government is not coming after people who are downloading such files. They are going after websites that supply people like you and I with those files. So don't start a website and say you have CS3 then give it away to everyone.

The process of getting caught downloading a single file:
    1. You download the file.
    2. You decide to upload the file for other people.
    3. During step 1 or step 2 the company may be tracking that torrent you are using, recording your IP address.
    4. That said company files a complaint on your ISP (Internet Service Provider).
    5. Depending on the complaint filed the ISP may be required to give the company the name of the bill payer as well as the address of your home.
    6. The company then compiles all the information on all of the people they have records on of illegally downloading their software/movies/music.
    7. The company then decides if it is worth it to pursue a lawsuit on those individuals or specific individuals.
    8. If they choose not to, you may get a nasty letter in the mail saying that you need to delete the file and stop downloading/sharing.
    9. If they choose to pursue a lawsuit you then will be served with paper work. Some companies request you pay them out of court. (A tactic which should be illegal because scams have gone around where people send out letters requesting money to avoid court and it isn't a real company).
    10. Then you have to go to court and a lot of times they don't ever fully go through to the actual lawsuit.

If you are just downloading and doing minor sharing. You will NOT see jail time, I repeat YOU WILL NOT SEE JAIL TIME. .

Don't let kids on this forum tell you otherwise. There are to many IFs when it comes with this kind of thing. SWAT isn't going to bust down your down and arrest you for downloading a single file.

Sources: Personal experience with over 1TB of downloaded movies/shows/software/books/music.

Again a company can't come after me because I could have content from multiple companies and many other places. They wouldn't be able to look at this post and come after me.

However, I wouldn't be going around posting the link you got it from and saying exactly what it is your downloading. That isn't a wise choice.

If you are really scared about downloading stuff, there are many preventive measures you can take. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] just google them.
