My birthday is sunday,so I was thinking of getting a game.
I really loved the BF3 beta,And the gameplay seems amazing everytime I watch a commentary about it.
Is it really worth getting it?
My friend says that it sucks compared to BFBC2,but that BFBC2 is dead. (I really don't believe that tho)
And if I DO get it,are the map packs worth it? if so which ones?
I got 3700 MS points left over,plus some XBL rewards points coming up.

I believe it is completely worth it. I have loved the game since the day beta came out. The game just doesn't get boring. And with the update coming out tomorrow, it will be 10x's better. I have the map pack and I enjoy the maps on it.

Contains a lot of fixes and tweaks. It'll be ~1GB. Mainly the feature to rent a server using msp. Also if you know your going to get BF3 download the BF3 Multiplayer Update on the marketplace. It's 2GB.

Renting a server as your own. You can customize it and put a password. The one on the marketplace is an update. Your talking about the HD texture pack which you install when you start up the game. Make sure you have space for BF3 (~4.5GB)
