Hello their! I've been thinking about this allot recently, also I don't want any flaming from religious people on this thread.

My view on religion:
Religion has been around for thousands of years and their are also many various religions, but lets look at the main religions.
Christiany and Buddism; They both have their own believes but different gods.
Meanwhile people always mention that the world will end when God decides, but which 'God' would this be as their are many different variations of this word.
Personally I think religion is here to keep people on track and follow rules, but I don't believe in any religion, I simply just make the best of a situation.

What are your thoughts on religion?

Let me start this off by saying that I respect what you think, and I am not trying to start a flame war.

Let me fix a mistake in your post:
Buddhists don't believe in a God, there ultimate goal is to reach enlightenment, or nirvana. They believe in a karmaic system in which they believe in order to reach enlightenment they need to have good moral's and ethics. They believe that in order to reach true nirvana they may have to go through mulitiple life cycles to pay off their karmic debt. They don't necessarily believe in a God but more that life is just an endless circle of life and death. They think that if we reject what we call reality then life will be an illusion and we will lose our selves.

Now on to what I believe:
I am a Christian and I believe in God. I believe that he has a plan for all of us, and that the world will end when he decides for it to end. I believe that Jesus came down and died for our sins and that he will be coming back. The reason I believe these things is because of the teachings of the Bible. The Bible has been around for thousands of years and has never changed, or had any mistakes found in its teachings. It has many prophecies in it that have come true, and is backed by history, and some that are still yet to be fulfilled. When I think about every single event in my life, they all connect in to one plan, even if I may not see it at the time.

For example: My parent's getting divorced. At the time it was horrible and I had no idea what was going on, but now that I look back at it, it happened for a reason. If it had never happened I would have never met any of the people that are currently in my life and have supported me through everything. I would have never made the decision to join the Air Force. I probably wouldn't be graduating right now, I might have been in jail. My parent's splitting up helped me realize the mistakes I needed to fix in my life before it was to late for me as well. I saw the path my dad took and I didn't want to g there.

I guess what I am trying to say is look where your at right now, and the past events that have gotten you to this point, it is to connected to be some coincidence. Again I respect your thoughts and this is just my belief.
