If you install it in pairs and its (3x4GB) You just install it in the first 3 slots right?

If you still have your motherboard manual it will tell you what slots you need to use for maximum performance.

Most of the time, that is true. However, it will depend on your motherboard.

If you've installed it yourself, check the manual that came with the box. If you didn't, download the manual from their website

probaly should have checked if you voided your warranty before opening. Or go to a professional,So nothing gets broken

Yes, however I would recommend not using 3. If you are using 3 you wont be using dual channel. There is a large increase when using dual channel compared to single channel. I would recommend either getting another 4gb or just using 8gb to use dual channel.
