so i recently found one of my wayy old xbox 360s that got rrod from overheating. it has never been connected to xbox live and i just found the dusty motherboard in my basebent. just for fun i used it as a dummy motherboard to practice jtagging xboxs. i have all the soldering in place and i was wondering if i soldered an lpt cable to it and if it can read and extract the nand, therefore extracting the kv and flashing it into my good jtags nand and have an unbanned kv. im just currious

1. In order to get any KV you need to Have your cpu key
2. In order to get you cpu key you have to dump your nand and write xell/xell-reloaded/xellous to your board
3. You have to boot up the console with the eject button. SO! If your board has rrod, you wont be able boot it up, thus not being able to get your cpu key, therefore not able to get the unbanned KV
This is all providing that the dash on that motherboard is below 7371. Good thing you're practicing your soldering. I wish i wouldve done that.

3. You have to boot up the console with the eject button. SO! If your board has rrod, you wont be able boot it up, thus not being able to get your cpu key, therefore not able to get the unbanned KV
This is all providing that the dash on that motherboard is below 7371. Good thing you're practicing your soldering. I wish i wouldve done that.

you have to be able to boot up your xbox
if you cant then you wont be able to extract your kv
if you cant then you wont be able to extract your kv

mostly correct but i have had consoles boot to xell but rrod when trting to boot dash.
xell doesnt use the gpu like the dash does so its worth a shot!!
you might get lucky and see the blue screen

I was cautious to say anything. My first RGH was a falcon that was giving me errors but id restart the console and itd work fine. it went back and forth. so i just decided to rgh it. did everything booted into xell-reloaded. I touched the heatsinks and the GPU one was blazing hot. Anyway i got my CPU key and flashed my hacked image to the console. Booted it up... RROD
Didn't know if i was the only one thats happened to.

Thanks guys ill try my best and if it doesnt work then i get practice lol. Thanks for the support! And if i get it, well i have an unbanned kv lol but no ways to get online
