This is mentioned in the movie*
for those who are into the Extra terrestrial and Ufos 'scene' this is a site i found which documents about the message that NASA sent out to space, with a list of what humans look like, our population, our planets position our solar system and universe, out mathematics and number system. 20 or so years later a a message was created into a wheat farm like crop circles, but this was a rectangle and was the same as the list sent out by NASA, but with their details on there, such as what they looked like their planets position in their solar system , ect. Nearby was also a face or self portrait of what it seems a alien.
