I am in the USAF currently stationed in Asia and have served in 2 wars. I enlisted because I loved my country and not because I was a deadbeat kid who wanted to go out and kill "Towel Heads".

Best of luck to you man. I've served 2 tours (Security Forces USAF) already and it is a lot of stress to deal with being over there. But hey, if it's really what you want to do and then you got my prayers. The people in your platoon will become your brothers for sure when you serve your tours.

On the other hand, you will need to think about the after effects of joining. I've seen a lot of stuff one shouldn't see to sum it all up.

Exactly my point. A lot of teenagers come in thinking it's going to be fun and games and its a piece of cake, especially going into the Marines. They will break them down in the first week to where they will be crying to go back home and live a civilian life. Once they sign those papers there is no way out.
