So if I put a modded default_mp.xex and start switching patches, does that mean I need to switch the default_mp.xex 2? Post soon...

No, i constantly change patches around. There's no need to keep replacing default with patch.ff

It actually depends...

You need to make sure the default you are using matches the patch you are using. For example...and TU6 patch would not work with a TU5 default.

As long as you are using the same TU's patches (I'm assuming you're using TU6), you do not need to swap default's. If you ever want to try older patches, or if someone ever comes up with a TU7 patch...you'll need to swap to the corresponding default.
