My first xbox got RROD and is still currently broken, this xbox had lasted me two years.

When this one broke i didnt have very much money so I went out and bought the basic arcade, the arcade i bought broke 3 hours after i got it so i took it back, the next one lasted a month... then started scratching discs .... i got yet ANOTHER replacement and this time bought a 60 Gb HDD with it just in case there was anything wrong with the one off the original... (i didnt think there would be, i did it as a precaution) and this is the one im am currently using, this has lasted just over a year now...

Would it be worth upgrading to an Elite?

What do you do with your consoles? lol

I've had no problems with mine.

Maybe you should consider the RROD repair kit

Xboxs are sooooo unreliable. I got the RROD and got my replacement, plugged it in and got the RROD again. Got another one and I still have it but it scratches discs!

Should i send it in?

haha i play quite a bit, but not as much as others who have managed to keep their xbox's longer than mine.

I will have to take the broken one to a repair shop... i opened it up to have a look inside.... would a shop still fix it? i havent tinkered with anything, i just opened up the casing.

And im not really a PS3 fan or i would switch i would much rather have Xbox live than Playstation Network to be honest! haha
