I experienced my first fine early today

I had to run for a train from my local station, i was just going to my friends house who lived in the town next door (just the next station, a 7 minute journey to be exact ;)).

And beacause i was running, i didn't have time to buy a ticket, so i just got on the train like normal, and got off after 7 minutes of breathing heavily, and as i went through the barriers at my mates station; i got pulled over and was asked for all my details . I gave them to the man and he gave me a penalty fare notice, which i had to pay within 21 days.

I payed the £20 penalty about 2 hours after once i had gone to the bank.

And to top that all off, i went to my mates house, and stood outside for 50 minutes banging on the door and ringing him. It turns out he was asleep :'( i rang him 63 times in 50 minutes and made my knuckles bright red.

What a day...
