I recently found out in my PS3 40GB model that my HDD had failed, i had not used the ps3 for around 6/7 months, i turned it on waited about 3 minutes to find [Could not start, correct hard disk not found] so i deemed it down to HDD Failure!

I bought a replacment 40GB HDD, to find the system software was unable to start, it says restore press start and select, so i do this and it says corrupt (8002F2B5/C5) and restarts and does the same thing.

I am out of warranty, and I do not want to pay 130 for my PS3 to be fixed.

Please help!!!

I'll give you some rep, it won't be + though.

Don't ask for rep.
