“We have so many things in our game that aren’t a part of Modern Warfare, so it really comes down to personal preference. You choose based on the depth you want, the maturity level, your own personal taste… it’s all about how you get your fix.”
Focusing on creating their own top tier FPS and not worrying about staging a coup with Call of Duty can only result in good things for shooter fans. Yes, there will always be comparisons between the two franchises and competition will be there whether the Battlefield 3 team wants it or not, but choosing to ignore the competition and instead focusing on making the best game possible is an instant win for us.
Battlefield 3 is currently scheduled for an October 25th release date.
