Activision and Infinity Ward have let out the contents of their timed-exclusive Devastation on Thursday and is set to include four new competitive maps, a new episode of the Extinction co-op campaign, and a new weapon. The DLC includes four maps named Ruins, Behemoth, Collision, and Unearthed and they vary from small to medium in size. This content also adds to the game Extinction Episode 2: Mayday, it continues the story of the cryptic menace that adds a new aliens type and Venom X modifications.
The last notable addition is the "Ripper", it is a hybrid weapon that allows those who wield it to convert the weapon into either a SMG or assault rifle firing mode. Those who own a Call of Duty: Ghosts season pass have had access to the weapon as of last Thursday, all others have to wait til April.
Call of Duty: Ghosts' Devastation DLC shows up first for Xbox 360 and Xbox One on April 3rd.
I am looking forward more so for the next Extinction map than the multiplayer maps. Hopefully the new alien is a boss which is harder than that from Nightfall as to make it more challenging, and I really do hope that the medal system is like that of Point Of Contact where the faster you complete the final stage, the better the medal you receive. The system for Nightfall which was the complete opposite was ridiculous. I personally find Extinction more fun than multiplayer, but nevertheless, I am still interested in the maps for it, I hope they are enjoyable.
