Alright, I know what you're all thinking. "Ugh, not another one on these. We've over 9000 of these threads, how can this be any different?" Point blank and out there, it's not. I'm honestly pointing out the facts people have stated, and throwing out there my additional theories, which I haven't seen much of mine (none of mine, actually.)

Let's begin:
Part 1: Getting the basics straight:

Yeah, we all know these people. Hell, they've been with us since the days of Shi No Numa. Dempsey, Takeo, Nikolai, and Richthofen. Each of them say a alot of funny things, and have proven (both in-game and with trailers) they know how to survive the Zombie Apocalypse. However, take another look at their faces:

When Shi No Numa first came out, each had a few battle scars from their fighting in the war. However, here in Ascension, they have more than just battle scars. Hell, even Richthofen lost his hair. (It never explained why, but it may have been a side effect from the teleporters, and only he experienced it.) However, over the course of (going with our real life time, not game time) 20 months, each has grown older, gotten weaker. They still have fight in them. But how much fight do they have in them?

This is Ascension's Easter Egg song, Abracadavre. Some call it Abracadavre, some call it "the song," or some people (myself included) call it totally badass. If you're not interested in the Zombie story, you'll just listen to the song for pleasure. However, if you have knowledge in the zombie backstory, you'll notice that this song is being told from Samantha's point. Samantha, if you don't know, was Dr. Maxis' daughter, who was killed by the zombies. Samantha was also responsible for Monkey Bombs, as well as Matryoshka doll bomb. Samantha, in the song, states that the Zombie horde is growing, in both size and power. However, she also states that it can all stop, if the right steps are fulfilled. Also, take note of the song's name: Abracadavre. Abracadabra is a magic saying, mostly used with magic trick. A cadaver is a dead human body. So, Abracadavre is an animated (living) dead human body (A zombie.) Again, pay attention to this. The song's name and meaning will come in handy later.

Part 2: The Node Puzzle (The Kassimir Mechanism)

For a text version of this, please click here: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

The Node Puzzle is another Easter Egg found within the confines of Ascension. The Egg revolves around activating these nodes, and releasing the man (Yuri Kravcheski.) Many people like to do the Egg for the reward: a 90-second Death Machine. However, story lovers took the time to learn and do the Egg for the community. Many people thought it was over. However, people are now reconsidering.
I'm gonna make a cut right here to explain something else. All those out there who have not played/completed Campaign up to "Revelations" should not click the spoiler, unless you don't care about spoilers.

The second mission of Campaign, entitled "Vorkuta," has you playing as Alex Mason, trying to escape the prison of the same name, alongside Viktor Reznov and your Russian comrades. All the cellmates have planned the escape, and use the following steps to attempt their escape:
1. Secure the keys.
2. Ascend from darkness. (Take the elevator to get to the surface).
3. Rain fire. (Use the slingshot to destroy the guard towers).
4. Unleash the horde. (Rally the prisoners with the broadcast system in Vorkuta).
5. Skewer the winged beast.(Shoot down the helicopter).
6. Wield a fist of iron. (Acquire the Death Machine).
7. Raise Hell. (Storm the prison guards).
8. Freedom. (Escape the prison).
Their plan worked, and they escaped the prison.

1. Secure the keys.
2. Ascend from darkness.
3. Rain fire.
4. Unleash the horde.
5. Skewer the winged beast.
6. Wield a fist of iron.
7. Raise Hell.
8. Freedom.

At this time, if you have not watched/read the node puzzle links, do so. Anyways, once you had read/seen the puzzle, notice how the steps have similarity to the Escape Plan Steps from Vorkuta.

1. Secure the keys. (Activate the generator)
2. Ascend from darkness. (Activate Illuminati Computer (Node 1))
3. Rain fire. (Activate the PaC Machine buttons during a monkey round)
4. Unleash the horde. (Shooting the Ballistic Knife in the Clock Room and waiting)
5. Skewer the winged beast.(Getting LUNA in the landers)
6. Wield a fist of iron. (Obtain the Death Machines.)
7. Raise Hell. 1***
8. Freedom. 2***

Notice the 2 posts with *** next to them:

1***
This step has NEVER been done - at all. This is the only step that has never been shown in the videos, or anything. There are many theories to the 7th step, but here are three from the CoD Wiki:

-The Lunar Lander next to the Speed Cola has a sign near it that translates to "hell", meaning the players might need to go on that Lander, and that would free the man.

--Raise hell in Ascension could also mean the same thing as in Vorkuta, where the player just kills everyone he sees, however this is unlikely.

---The fire trap next to Stamin-Up has a "7" near it, meaning the player would have to activate it, as fire is commonly associated with hell, and the 7 might imply the 7th step.

- I've seen many people who say this step, but I've never seen it done. However, it does make sense to it working.

-- This one, when compared to campaign, makes sense, but when compared to zombies, doesn't.

--- This one makes as much sense as - did, but still, no footage has ever been shown of the 7th step.

2***
Many people assume, when they hear Yuri say that you've freed him, you're done. You got the Death Machine, and people just skip step seven. However, remember back to Vorkuta. [SPOILERALERT] In "Vorkuta" only YOU escaped alive. In ways, Yuri is comparable to Reznov. Both of them "escaped" - dead. In the mission on YOU survived the escape. [/SPOILERALERT] This theory totally opens new doors to the community regarding the easter egg. However, check this out:

This is a small building, in the middle of nowhere. Notice that it still has working lights, as well as a Lunar Lander door. If Theory one from 1*** (use the lander from Speed Cola) works, it may very well bring you to, instead of the Centrifuge, to this building, allowing YOUto escape.

The WWII Cast is starting to get old, but let's go to Part 3, which actually hints at the fact that Step 8 may actually exist.

Part 3 - Danny Trejo

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
This here is Danny Trejo - a Spanish Actor acting in American films. You may recognize him from his role in Machete, playing the character sharing the movies' name. You're probably thinking, "WTF does Danny Trejo have to do with the Zombie Story?" Well, check this out.

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

This is Danny Trejo wearing a blue suit, with strange light bulbs on them. Again, a lot of you are questioning his mentioning. Let me elaborate. Trejo is wearing a Motion-Capture suit. These suits were used in Avatar, as well as Black Ops' Campaign, to get perfect facial expressions, and every little body movement, for impressive realism. So, why is he wearing this outfit? Read these two paragraphs (credit to TTG for typing the articles):

He stated that he's working on his character in the next Zombie Map (Map Pack 2)Also, if you're not able to read the text, he mentioned he was at the "House of Moves" with Sarah Michelle Gellar, Michael Rooker, and Robert Englund. Who are these people? Again, lemme explain:

Sarah Michelle Gellar - Played "Buffy" in the original Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Robert Englund - played Freddy Kruger in the original Nightmare on Elm Street.
Michael Rooker - played the lead character in Henry: Protrait of a Serial Killer as well as Merle Dixon in The Walking Dead, season one.

Now, notice how many people there are - Four. Notice anything else? They're all actors. Anything else? They all played characters in action/survival films/shows. In a way, their characters have always been close to survival and action, so their real personas would be a cool, modern take on the Zombie Story. However, if they were going to make a map with these people, they would need an exit strategy for the WWII characters. If they just got rid of them, without ending the story, it would leave the community aghast. Of course, the characters may just be a single level cameo, such as the past leaders from Five, but if not, they may very well become the new main cast.

Part 4 - The Conclusion

All in all, the pieces fit together like a puzzle. The nodes, Abracadavre, Danny Trejo and the Map Pack 2 zombie map. It's all a domino effect. In order for the final even to occur, they require a completion of the Node Puzzle (which would have the WWII cast escaping) and either killing or saving them. They've had their run, but they've grown old. They may very well die via escape (as Escape ma very well point to dying,) but they may also live. However, I'm sure you all see what I'm trying to say. Trejo has a character in the next map, alongside Rooker, Englund and Gellar. If Treyarch is to replace the main cast, they need to have an Exit Strategy for the main cast, unless they want the community to go into an outrage. The exit strategy is Escape, which may or may not link to either the 4th lander pad, or death. Either way, they need to move the WWII cast out of the picture, all the while not upsetting the community. And, as a final sentence, to end the wall of text I'd like to thank you all for reading, I say this: Wouldn't the main cast escaping the madness be an awesome end to this amazing Easter egg?

@Heart

I'm pretty sure you should've used the Sarcastic font. You may have been serious, but I smell a hint of sarcasm in that.

2 things 1 Samantha was not killed by Zombies she was killed by Hell Hounds which have seemed to have mysteriously disappeared in all of the Black Ops new maps.

Also the fact that the song is from Samantha's point of view is not fact it is just fan speculation I don't remember seeing JD_2020 or anything on the Black Ops forum stating otherwise if so please link me.

Also in all of the other maps, Nacht Der Untoten, Zombie Verruckt, Shi No Numa, Der Riese, Kino Der Toten, and maybe Five not sure on that one, they all have area's outside of the map which could be "escaped" too and also have features off the map that give an easter egg vibe to what's off the map, yet no such thing has ever occurred.

I'm not saying a fourth lander is not possible I'm just saying from the past of Treyarch it's most likely not going to happen. Also the connection between the 8 steps again not fact just fan speculation and unless stated somewhere else by a Treyarch member on the CoD forums or their twitter which I haven't seen please link me.

Good post but the only fact I've seen in there were some references to some things on the map, and the machete guy.

Not trying to hate good post though.
