KSA state run media has reported that King Abdullah has died.
King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, the powerful U.S. ally who joined Washington's fight against Al Qaeda and sought to modernize the ultraconservative Muslim kingdom has died at 90, according to Saudi state TV.

His expected successor is his 79-year-old half-brother, Prince Salman, who recently has taken on the ailing Abdullah's responsibilities.

The announcement came in statement read by a presenter on Saudi state TV, which aired video of worshippers at the Kaaba in Mecca.

This is going to get interesting. The successor came from what is known as the "Sudairi Seven". This is interesting timing considering their decision not to decrease oil production in order to keep oil below $65 a barrel.

I wonder if his half-brother will maintain the changes Abdullah has brought to the country.

Saudi Arabia are no ones ally. Oil is the real reason nations such as the US and UK are all of sudden 'paying' their respects.

We are allied, they help us we help them, do you need a dictionary?

I do think that his half brother, will continue to be an ally of The United States, I don't think it would be smart not to be, if I'm honest. We were one of the two 'super powers' that emerged from World War II, the other being the USSR, and as we all know, the USSR is no longer in existence.

I think the United States one of the top 3 strongest countries on the planet. It should be in their interest to have us as an ally.
