So I'm getting a new motherboard, this is what I'm looking into [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Processor i'm getting is: i7- 4790K.
Is their anything better for the price?
How about this? {goes with color theme) [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Out of the two which should I get?

The Z97-A will do the job perfectly fine and you don't need to spend as much as the Maximus. Unless you plan on heavy rendering or editing then an i5 would do fine. Even if you did edit the i5 would be fine.

I know they will both do the job, I just want to know if the Maximus is better for the extra $60.

What is the form factor of your case?

You've linked an atx and matx.

An Matx will fit in a atx but a atx will not fit in a matx case.

I had actually looked at that board, but opted out because the white/silver. I went with The ASUS MAXIMUS VII HERO Z97. Thanks for your imput though.

Your choice but be aware the cheaper board will do everything the HERO can, and that you're paying for the looks.
