ApocZ is a new indie game released on the Xbox360!
It's pretty basic at the moment but I can see it has A LOT of potential.
It's only $1, what do you expect!?
The graphics are actually pretty decent and it's got online functionality
You can loot, interact and survive in a pretty decent sized map!
It's a little buggy (as expected) but it is a very fun game to play with mates!
There are also thousands of zombies in the cities, so stay out of there!

I have played this game before and it is a very buggy game and needs a ton of work. I would have to say it is worth to give it a try, i mean like you said, its just $1.
I have also played a game is somewhat similar also, BUT its single player only.

Yeah, SoD is a very good game!
It's more realistic and has better graphics and mechanic etc.
But there is no online, so that's a problem.
I think Undead Labs (Developers) of SoD are planning on some kind of co-op or something, not sure. It's what I've heard on their Twitter page.

I would say go and play SoD for a good 'DayZ' experience, but it's not online.
So this is probably the closest you'll get.
There is going to be a patch within a week to fix all the online issues ie. Code 4 etc.

I'm not knocking the game but it seems like a very quick cash grab towards the survival genre. I don't think this game or any game for that matter will truly be able to capture the DayZ experience at all. DayZ is certainly one of a kind.
