So after deciding not to get a PC and instead get the Ibuypowerpc steam box and then changing my mind again since i can't boot both SteamOS and windows on it, i decided to make my first attempt on a pc build.
PC Specs:
CPU: AMD A10-5800K 3.8GHz Quad-Core Processor
Motherboard: MSI FM2-A75MA-E35 Micro ATX FM2 Motherboard
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Video Card: Gigabyte Radeon R9 270X 4GB Video Card
Power Supply: Corsair Builder 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply
Windows 8.1 64-Bit -OEM
Total: $445.97

So my question is how good of a build is this, and what type games will i be able to play and at what resolutions. I actually do not plan to purchase a optical drive at this moment. I might later. But is this a good build. My close relative managed to use his assets that was given to him from working at Best Buy and hes able to get me these parts for $445 instead of $725. So Please comment on what i need or should add to this build, and what could make it better.

You'll be able to max out BF4 with that at 1920x1080 I would think, it's a really good build and a really good price. Although I'd recommend getting an AMD FX 6300 CPU and an XFX 550w Bronze Certified PSU

ditch the APU for a CPU, the 6300/8320 would be better

Do you need to 16GB of RAM? And the 4GB of VRAM? Just go with 2 Gb of VRAM if you're playing @ 1080p because it won't really make a difference.

Instead of the A10 get a athlon x4 760k or a FX-6300 as they are cheaper /same and have allot better performance and pick up a decent graphics card

an APU/CPU is not the same, and he has a R9 270X in the build. is that not a decent GPU?

Get a 6300
Drop to 8Gb ram
get a XFX unit power supply
with money spared from that ram you could get a 760

just make sure that the mother boar socket matches up with the cpu socket Ex.. mobo = AM3 socket and cpu = AM3 socket that will work but if you have a am2 and am3 board and cpu it will not work you see what im saying?
