Synopsis

Drust mac Erp and his savage Picts have overrun Northern Britain. King Lot of Lothian is dead. His widowed queen, Morgause, appeals to her half-brother Arthur for help. Its up to you to answer Arthurs call and save the Kingdom!

Setting

This app is set in a big online world know as Camelot Every player gets their own piece of land and progresses their land which includes a main city and some land to produce food, wood ect to spread across the online world taking over other kingdoms lying in their way. The setting feels great as it gives you the sense you are in charge of a kingdom making agreements with other kingdom owners and conquering your enemies.

Setting Rating:10/10

Gameplay

The Gameplay is reasonably good it has its pros and cons. Firstly the fact it's an online game kinda makes the experience unexpected by the fact you can be attacked an any given moment and you have a really bad chance of winning unless you join an alliance. An alliance is kind of like a treaty between players in which they are all civil towards each other and protect each other during battles and can give each other resources if they are in need of any which brings me onto my next point. Resources are needed if you are to progress because workers need food, buildings need wood, blacksmiths need metal. This can be very frustrating as you have to wait around for your resources to increase and have to spend other resources to increase others and with the time element of this game (Meaning building takes real time from 30 seconds - 12 hours!) it can make the game very long and boring most of the time. The fact you can be attacked at any time after the first week of having the app, it can be quite unexpected and unfair if you're someone who doesn't dedicate themselves to the game. Overall the app is good fun but with the wait time it makes the game dragged out and boring.

Gameplay Rating:7.5/10

Graphics

The graphics aren't anything to scream and jump about, apps are usually not too keen on making the game look fantastic although the game doesn't look horrible it isn't really anything you go "woaah" about. But i have to argue that they were at least creative with their graphics, for instance whatever the season it is in real life the developers change the Town/farm so it resembles that season. And every so often an eagle flies across your screen. Overall decent graphics.

Controls

As it is an app, it is all done with selecting options using your finger/thumb.

Controls Rating:7/10

Overall

Overall it's good for a free game, but if you had to pay for it i wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The Setting is reasonably good and the Gameplay is decent although waiting time can be stressful. Overall i would say its a good game, not anything too major.

Overall Rating:7/10
