Synopsis
X-Men: Destiny is a video game based on the X-Men comic book series. It was developed by Silicon Knights and published by Activision. The game was released in North America on September 27, 2011 for the PlayStation 3, Wii, Xbox 360, and Nintendo DS consoles. The writer of the story line, Mike Carey, is also the writer of the X-Men: Legacy comic book series.
Gameplay
In X-Men: Destiny, players are put into a squad of new mutants who join the X-Men. They have to make choices to decide the destiny of their character. This game offers a traditional linear type of gameplay. Players must collect power enhancements called X-Genes. Every X-Gene will unlock 1 of 3 types of abilities. These abilities are : Offensive, Defensive, and Utility skills. These genes can be mixed and matches to a player to fit a unique experience. Overall, the single player is a lot of fun and is quite addicting.
Characters
Players have a choice of 3 different playable characters at the beginning of the game. These are the 3 available characters :

Aimi Yoshida - Aimi was born in Fuji City, Japan. She struggled by her parents and her family had to live in a mutant camp. She arrived in San Francisco on a tanker ship. When she gets sent away from her parents, she is too young to notice that they did it for her safety.

Grant Alexander - He was born in Sandersville, Georgia. Grant is a freshman in college who dreams of becoming a professional football player. He wants to make it into the University of California, Berkeley, varsity squad. Grant has no interests in politics and knows little to nothing on human conflicts that the X-Men deal with.

Adrian Luca - Adrian was born in Los Angeles, California. He is a son of an anti-mutant who was killed in battle. He was taught to hate all mutants and was sent to seek revenge for his fathers death. Adrian Luca is a soldier in the Pure-blooded human army.

Graphics
According to my experience with the recent X-Men Games, I do know that the quality has increased over the past releases. With this game specifically, I have no experience hands on with it. I read a few articles and found out that the game has a few frame rate drops, enemy behavior is idiotic, decent combat, choices don't affect the game, and the visuals are not that great. I can agree with about 1 or 2 of those things. But, overall and in the video trailer, the game looks decent graphic wise. I suggest trying out the previous games before buying this one.

I do not agree at all with what IGN says. This game is actually fun along with the rest of the previous X-Men titles. Try it our for yourself

im not really a fan of x-men i had this and sold it the next day i would have to rate it a 3
