Synopsis:
Red Faction: Guerrilla takes place in the year 2120. The Earth Defense Force (EDF), the allies in the original "Red Faction", have become the main antagonist of Guerrilla. Although initially supportive of the Martian miners, Earth's natural resources have run scarce, and as a result, its world economy has collapsed from rampant speculation of commodities and lack of production. Under pressure by Earth's corporations and leaders to acquire the resources of Mars at any cost and at a pace to meet Earth's high demand, the EDF has forced Martian society into a permanent state of unfree labour. The newly-reformed "Red Faction" arises to revolt against the EDF, drive them off the planet, and begin fairer negotiations with Earth.

Gameplay:
This game has a spectacular Single Player and Multiplayer. This game is a Free Roam game; but not like most. Its on Mars! You play as Alec Mason, who's family has been high in fame to everyone in Mars. Alex Mason is a mining engineer which is a big career on Mars. One of the most famous features of Red Faction is the destruction factor. You use a sledgehammer to do the most damage. It can destroy a whole wall or even a vehicle. Mars is divided into different Regions. You unlock them by doing missions or exploring the planet. When I think of Mars I think of Aliens, and there is an alien race. They are harder to find and are mostly in DLC. This game is intense and creative, you can choose to take out enemies by shooting them or even destroying a bridge beneath them. The game focus on its creativity and destruction aspects. The only thing I wish they would of done is abandoned the whole Alec Mason idea and let you create your own character. The game has a few glitches where you will slides through houses or cliffs, and maybe even randomly explode your car. The driving is great in this game and it is fun to demolish houses with your car. The jetpacks in the game are awesome its fun to get on top of buildings and snipe all your enemies, or get on top of a billboard and take it out from the top. This game is top notch.

Multiplayer:
The multiplayer in this game is a bit different from any Shooter, like I previously explained the game has creative ways to kill people. Well in multiplayer the same rules apply. The funnest way to kill people is to rig traps or wait for someone to walk in a building and you destroying the wall. Some of the big weapons in the game are the rocket launcher and the sniper. The sniper can be hard to use at first; but if you master it, you own the battlefield. RF is a big competitive game. I was always asked to do 1v1s or 2v2s, so I did. I always went for the powers weapons, just like you would in any game. The sniper is not my first pick, I always grab explosives first. The bad thing about RF is that you cannot go prone, which would help a lot in this game, in my opinion. But you do have a lot of options of hiding, unless it gets blown up. The variation of the maps is amazing since the game takes place in Mars, you would think everything would be the same but it isn't the maps have lots of variation.

Graphics:
The graphics in this game are awesome, even better than some modern graphics. The game has a realistic feel; but you still have the impression your are on another planet. The render is great in this game, there are the occasional falling through the wall. The developers really had to think about light in this game, considering its another planet and I think they nailed it.

Controls:
The controls are nice and easy to handle. I think they're great and any level of user should be able to master them fast.
