My Mother's computer is terrible right now. It is a Dell laptop. Just signing into this website on her computer took 5 minute because if you click on anything popup websites appear. Some of the websites are difficult to close because you have to click "Ok" on the popup and as soon as you click it, it comes back up. Her Norton is expired so I can't use that and I have no idea what to do


Any responses would be very appreciated.

Backup all of the important files and preform a factory reset. Chances are there's some software that is installed which is making the websites popup, preforming a reset will remove the software.

You could re-install the OS, which is probably the best and easiest way to get rid of the stuff. There are a few programs you can use though:

However, a system restore will be the easiest and more 'sure fire' way to get rid of the stuff on the computer.
