Nope i made this myself, and yes it may be like others however i want feedback on what i can add/improve

Want feedback? Stop making text on c4d.

Not true, please let me know when you do your 3D text next time?
Spending time to learn PS is alot better than Cinema 4D, but some texts can look nice from Cinema 4D.
If your client asks for 3D text, what would you use? PS?

lmao clients asking for 3d text, how old are your clients, 15?

You clearly don't know how Cinema 4D works, there's lots of other thing's than the 12 yr old Nitroblast + Lava material in Cinema 4D.
You tell me there's not commercials, adverts, companies that uses 3D text? Wow, you must be living under a rock.

I think his point was stop this pointless crap text.
Get to know the programme and what it can actually do and then you will get to a standard when the text is not a generic extrusion and material text.

I wouldnt question Jrd's talent as he actually uses C4D for things other than generic text.

I haven't seen his work, then I have to apologize.
But still, there's alot of 3D texts that can look good, if they're done right.
But the key to make it look good is still knowing Photshop, to add the final touch to it.

Not necessarily. Photoshop is not the be all and end all.
If the work is done correctly in C4D sometimes you dont need to transfer it to another programme.

Well, back on topic anyway. OP, i'd suggest you try to get to know cinema 4D a bit more. Maybe learn a few basics of modelling, even something as simple as modelling things for inside text.

here, try using this:

I've seen his Low Poly landscape work, which I also have tried out. So don't tell me that I'm the one thinking it's only for text.

I think you need to wind your neck in. You are just out looking for an arguement.
I never told you that you were thinking its just for text.

I'm not looking for an argument, just can't believe YOU tell me what I think of something, because you clearly know what I'm thinking.
Saying something without knowing anything about me, the way to go.

The fact you see it that way proves you see everything as a challenge.
I was simply pointing out what I believed Jrd to be getting at. Not once telling or pretending to know wtf you were talking about.

Instead of leaving terrible 'feedback' cut the kid some slack, he's clearly new to designs/graphics.

For the actual piece, many people have said it 3D Text is good when used in the right format, for example these days people are looking for sleek, minimal stuff. As for the design, it's very simple. Just a font/text extruded. The colors aren't to sharp, people want crisp clean stuff, however just do whatever helps you improve because no matter how many times you mess up, you'll always improve!

Good luck to any other future designs bud, ignore those who tell you "dont do this dont do that" because that's all negativity, even if the outcome is bad.

They are the same in my eyes.
The white one will probably be easier to touch up in photoshop.
